Anyone based in New Zealand and providing immigration advice about this country must have a licence (unless they are exempt). Licensing for overseas immigration advisers is compulsory from 4 May 2010. In other words after May 2010 an Immigration or Education Consultant based in Inda is prohibited from giving immigration advice or representing clients during their application process with New Zealand Immigration Authorities, including Immigration New Zealand in New Dehli.

Peter Hahn was born in Germany and practiced as a solicitor in Berlin prior to moving to New Zealand.  He immigrated to New Zealand in 1992 and lives with his wife, who is a Doctor and of Indian origin, and two young school age children in Eastbourne near Wellington.  In 1994 he established Hahn & Associates Ltd, a consultancy business specialising in immigration and business advice for, predominantly, German clients.  He is also the author of many newspaper articles in German speaking magazines and newspapers ("Neuseeland News" and "360° Neuseeland") and has written the bestselling book “Für immer Neuseeland” - an immigration guide for the German reader. 

Peter is the Managing Director of ‘Hahn and Associates’ and also a fully licensed Immigration Advisor. Peter is also associated with ‘New Zealand Companies and Trust Services Ltd’. This consultancy provides advice regarding off shore companies and trusts.
